Hola! I’m Mireia and I was born in Lleida, a small town in the North of Spain, only a short distance from Barcelona. I got my degree in Psychology in Spain in 2008 after which I undertook several training courses on the subject of psychology. In 2012, I moved to Italy where, initially, I began to teach Spanish. It was then that I discovered I had a real passion for teaching and so I went on to obtain a specialisation in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, obtaining the ELE qualification and accomplishing a Masters at the University of Jaén in 2014. From that moment, I never looked back, immediately embarking on a career exclusively in this sector of work, collaborating with several language schools here in Genoa to create courses for students of all ages and levels, ranging from company courses and DELE preparation to full-emersion courses and language enhancement at Secondary Schools to mention but a few. At the same time, I also succeeded in furthering my own training by taking part in a number of courses, leading to my achieving the official DELE examiner qualification from the Cervantes Institute.
And thanks to all these invaluable training opportunities, I have gained the necessary confidence and ability to create really dynamic lessons coupled with the all-important human element required to fully motivate each student to move forward with their own learning independently. In this way, in identifying the student’s individual interests and any personal difficulties they may be facing, dedicating the right amount of time to grammar, one can enable the student to convey their very own thought process into a communicative practical approach with the objective of the student using the language effectively from day one.
