Born in Genoa, I teach German, English and Italian as a foreign language, as well as being the Teaching Co-ordinator for Universal Speaking. After having obtained my Degree in Languages and Modern Cultures at the University of Genoa where my specialised chosen area of language study was German and Russian, I moved to Germany where I worked as a Teacher of the Italian language for foreigners both at the University of Passau and the Munich University of Monaco of Bavaria (TUM). In addition, during my time spent in Bavaria, I gained further invaluable experience working as an Italian and German teacher also in various state-run and private language schools as well as an English tutor. At the same time, I succeeded in continuing my studies, specialising in the Science of Language (in the area of Foreign Language Teaching), as well as teaching Italian to foreigners at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

My approach to lesson structuring is to first and foremost meet the personal needs of the student by creating and using tailor-made teaching material which I convey in a highly communicative way so that the student has the possibility to actively use the language being taught from the very first lesson. In fact, a great part of the lesson content is dedicated to practising conversation, without neglecting the important aspects of grammar, and so also a strong emphasis is put on comprehension, writing and oral work. Moreover, in my lessons I use authentic teaching material which enables the student to really experience and live the language and its culture to their full in the most stimulating environment possible.
